About

When Irene was a little kid, she loved to draw with her sister. They would make up people, draw them, their houses, even maps of their neighborhoods. Eventually, she stopped drawing, but never stopped making up people. She also loved to read. When she was seventeen years old, a guy asked her, “What do you want to be?” She thought about it, figured she was never going to see him again (she never did), and told him she wanted to be a writer. That has been true ever since, however much life has gotten in the way. She has been a stay at home mom, a caregiver, and is currently an electrician. She has written two novels, which will probably remain in the category of “good practice,” and some short stories, which you can find here.
